His basic profession is machine fitter and mechanical engineer (HTL). He completed a degree in psychology with an elective in education in Vienna and has been working at the Vienna Men's Counselling Service since 2006. The main focus of his work is counselling, support and guidance (victim protection and process support) for boys*, lads* and men* affected by violence in various forms, separation and divorce counselling for men, work with fathers (counselling, coaching, parenting advice) and national and international networking, particularly in the area of victim work for men affected by violence.
From 2007 - 2019, he was an employee and responsible coordinator in the field of diagnostics at the LIMES association (counselling and treatment of adolescents who have violated sexual boundaries).
He is co-founder (with other committed fathers) and chairman of the association PapaInfo - Verein zur Förderung gleichstellungsorientierter Väterarbeit.
He also works in private practice in birth preparation for expectant fathers, in crisis intervention for those affected by violence, in trauma treatment, in general clinical-psychological treatment and in coaching, does educational work (various lectures) and writes regularly on the topics of fatherhood and male victims of (sexualised) violence.
